Not real thrilled with my local suppliers. Can anyone recommend an online lighting supplier that carries a lot of cool stuff, like the latest and greatest residential LED fixtures, etc?
I use Build.com for a lot of lighting and plumbing fixtures. Never thought I'd order some of the things I do on line, but it is nice to have a truck show up with the stuff.
I agree on Build.com, I'm using them becasue I can get things that I can't buy through normal channels, it started with cabinet hardware, the manufacturer would only sell to cabinet maker suppliers, I got tired of bothering my cabinet maker to place orders that had nothing to do with cabinets so I called the manufacturer, he told me to go to Build.com, that I could buy everything there as cheap if not cheaper than going through the wholesalers. I also find nice people to deal with there, I did get some factory defective hardware and they exchanged it immediately telling me that I didn't even have to ship it back if it was defective.

If you want my account reps contact info let me know.
Dick,
I agree on pricing. The new tub for our mater bath remodel from Kohler was 8k, other suppliers 7200, Build delivered it to me for 4200.
There are a few things they are lacking on, I needed multipoint lock sets for custom doors we fabricated. They had the trims but no one knew about the mechanism.

True, I had the same problem, but since the door hanger has to install the multipoint hardware I let them supply it, then buy the trim from Build.com.

Emtek and Baldwin are normally 6 weeks build to order, some how I get Emtek and Baldwin from Build in a week to 10 days. Can't beat their Emtek prices.
I always ask my electrician for recco's.
He's led me to: Tech Lighting, Hunza, Bega, Buck, Artemide, Flos, Roll and Hill...I usually go to the manufacturers web site first to look at products, then just do a search for the best deal.
For a general, but cool, lighting site though, ylighting has some good stuff.

We are buying quite a few light fixtures online these days, Circa Lighting, Visual Comfort, to name a couple.
