  • Electric and gas ran on side of home / structure

I’m running gas and electric lines along the side of my home for a pool installation. Is there any standard or code as to how far apart they have to be running along the wall or can they be within an inch or two of each other. About a 20ft long run horizontally for each. I live in Illinois, cook county.

Yes there are code requirements and also in most places you need to pull electrical and gas plumbing permits. Chicago for sure. Please do yourself a favor, be safe and hire a qualified electrician and plumber.
