  • Kitchen Cabinet installation

I am a remodeling contractor and have put together many Kitchens in my day. But I am now faced with trying to provide materials to crews that show them how. I have learned a lot from JLC over the years and developed my own processes as well. But having something more substantial than a short article will help immensely. Does anyone know of a book or has anyone cobbled together anything based on multiple articles over the years? I have the August '14 issue to pass around but am looking for more. Thanks

There has to be something out there that is already written out. Since you are here I would start with looking at JLC archives. Over the years there has to have been several different articles about cabinet installation.
Maybe check out what used to be and may still be Tauton Press I think it was called. I think they were part of the Fine Homebuilding group.
Look at This Old House sites. They may have a book for cabinet installation or articles about it. If not specific to cabinet installation it may be something like Build and Install your own Kitchen Cabinets. Might even be a Kitchen Cabinet Installation for Dummies book out there-seems there is for just about everything else.

Or write up your own materials and maybe get pictures on the next kitchen cabinet job you do. Or make a video of it.

Lastly is you take the time to watch about 4 hours of YouTube videos and pick one or two that show what you are wanting to see done and then flag those for the guys to watch.

Give us a heads up on what you find. It may prove useful to the rest of us here.

Hopefully you are doing this for profit, so why not give them the full benefit of your expertise and esperience? Put together a presentation/video of YOUR methods.
