With 51" stops it's useless for cutting standing trim like door jambs, casings and stop.

It says at the bottom you can add as many fence lengths that you want. I assume that the 51" comes with the package.

Well, on the video the verbal Paul has his fingers pretty close to the blade, and no hearing protection.

Second, the locking mechanism will be broken on the first lackey you let use it or when in bounces around in your trailer or van (with all our pot-holes).

I love FastCaps chop shop when I had my Makita up and running, I use his cateye glasses, his tapes are my #2 go to's (cept the flat one, that's great for layouts) but this looks a bit light weight SawHelper wana-be for the jobsite. IMHO. That being said, They do stand behind their product and if something snapped like the attchement to the saw I bet they would have one sent off to you that day.

I kinda like the overall concept. But at $400 most people would expect more than something cobbled from a couple of off-the-shelf 3d hands and a couple of extrusions. And those plastic brackets screwed into your saw with self-drilling screws just complete the Mickey Mouse flavor.

Hi everyone. I’ve had the saw helper for the last 20 years. It is a good quality product. We designed the Best Fence System to address all the issues that the saw helper and other fence system were lacking. Number one: It’s affordable at $399 for the entire System in a ballistic nylon bag and weighs about 50lbs. We had a priced at the JLC Show special at $279.00 to introduce it. We can’t make them fast enough. We are honoring that price through the end of this month. The Best Fence Stop by itself is amazing. It is made out of durable NyloMax material and is molded right here in our Bellingham, WA factory. Our products are guaranteed for life. If you manage to break anything, we will replace it Next Day Air at no cost to you. No questions asked! The stand that we have on our website and that was at the JLC Show was the original design. The production version is even better. Over 100 contractors have been involved in the creation and improvements and they all love it. Here are some updated YouTube videos that should address the questions regarding the stand and using the Best Fence in a shop environment.

On the site and in the shop: http://www.youtube.com/user/fastcaptv#p/u/1/KbbiPeu1wsw

BTW - We did notice the typo of 51” length, each section is actually 57” long. We had to limit it to that because of the limits of UPS size restrictions. It is easy to attach sections together with the male to male connector that is included with the Best Fence.

                    Exactly what I was thinking.
the wings look nice, but the saw stand looks like a joke.

                        Paul,
Can you do a video of someone putting 2 sections together? I like it but the 57" length is killing me. If the limit is 57" why was I able to get a 10' Makita saw rail through UPS?
I agree with the others, there shouldn't be any plastic parts. Every time I buy a stand with plastic parts they break first.

At $399 I wasn't that interested- at $279 I might give it a try. I'm not sure if those brackets would attach directly to the Kapex, but I'd look at making a bracket that would sit in the V groove like my current wings do, and attach the plastic bracket to it.
