who's card are you going to call

this is a board at a local lumber supplier, who's card are you most likely going call and see.

this goes for boards all over, sherwin williams paint, coffee houses etc..

these cards I got from www.gotprint.com 1,000 with rounded corners were 48 bucks full gloss

you design on line and have them in 5-10 days...

I was thinking the same thing, A handyman would probably be less costly than a "custom" guy!

Just bustin on you Kreg! I agree you cards do stand out....too bad you never had pieces of beadboard with print? You could spend Saturdays with a Festool drilling them for the wall tack!

True, my cards are very high quality paper, the printing is old fashioned letterpress in small type rather than offset. There is only my company name, telephone number and license number, if you look closely you can see a small red dot. My son is in that business and designs and prints for mostly high priced law firms, book collectors, and others who know quality paper, typesets, and design. As always you fit your cards to the socioeconomic status and relative sophistication of your desired market.

I have no idea, I suspect the small type face is to make people look hard, once they are looking hard I think the red dot says: "I have the ability to do something fancy but don't' because it's gauche". The whole printing and book world is very snobbish. I remember sitting in court once next to a high-priced attorney, during a break he was holding a letter up to the light and turning it in several directions, I asked him what he was doing and he said he was checking the bond of the paper to assess the quality of his opposing attorney.

well thats fine, I will take them.... I get several good jobs for trim and cabinets from sherwin williams boards.. people love my card as it is very professional looking... yes some I am sure don't and others don't care.. but it works. after all higher class people usually go to sherwin williams over lowes paint plus painters see my card and send me carpentry business also.. so its a win win.

I just called got print and asked if they had 4x6 cards with rounded corners.

They said they don't have anything like that. I need these for an upcomming parade of homes in June.

Could you point me in the right direction?
