Default Suspended hard lid demo pointers

Hey whats up everyone, first post here! I have a question on removing a suspended hard lid usg system. theres also popcorn sprayed on it. the spray on is asbestos free. my plan of attack will be to wet down the popcorn with a garden sprayer then run a sawzall down the main beams. if someone knows a more efficent way any help would be greatly appreciated. thanks in advance.

Commercial project? Kill all power to the space at the panel. Watch for falling debris.

More questions:

Open remodel?
Why spray the popcorn?
Won't a sawzall create a ton of dust?
What are you replacing the hard lid with?

im just doing the ceiling work so not sure wich walls are going and staying yet. yea the sawzall will be dusty so i plan to wet it down first and minimize the particulate. im replacing with 2x2 black usg grid and black lay in tile.

Wetting popcorn texture creates a ton of muck. If it's an open remodel I would spread plastic and break out sections by hand in whatever size they come out. Less dust, no muck.

I agree. Why make more work for yourself?

watch the sprinklers, and see if you can reuse the existing wires.
