    Default soundproof windows

Anyone recommend a certain window manufacturer for sound proof windows?

The situation is-about 100 ft. from a busy 2 lane highway. The 2nd floor which is the main floor in this home is pretty much level with the highway. When downstairs and the AC is on it would have to be a big truck to notice traffic noise. Upstairs is hard not to notice. I purchased a sound meter and did the math, anyway I should add a window that will help the noise go away.

    Any recomendations on windows?
    Thanks, joe

What window type/construction is in there now? What math did you do and did you arrive at some STC figure for new glazing [or a basis for the old] that would give you an acceptable performance bump with consideration to db, frequencies, and duration? Milgard has a 'quiet line' with 45+ ratings, and many manu's can configure or give ratings as well - remember ratings from the manu maybe similar to what car makers say about MPG...
