Cooper, I can even see the humor in the Dewalt case, but I'm in over my head. Gotta admit the drill accessory one is pretty sweet? Eh. The Makita impact is awesome, but I never use it. Name your price and I will send it to you. I will get the specs when I go to work. only used on one deck. Just not for me. Take the money you save and buy a C12, you'll thank me later, Eric

    LoL.....This thread started out hilarious.

Lots of people in this industry cant justify sustainers or even Festool. Systainers are a good way to go if your constantly moving on and off equipment from Shop, trailer, and job site. I'm not fortunate enough to have a trailer, van, or shop set up for a single task. I do too much variation of work so being able to load and unload for each day is important and systainers really help.

For those who think systainers are over priced I encourage you to build your own system from 1/2" ply. Make them stackable with lids just like the systainer. It will cost less and you will be impressed with the results.

Also.....dont make assumptions about those who have and use systainers. I bought 16 systainers from a shop that was closing for $50. A Kreg jig and dewalt Drill don't appear odd when my systainer only cost $4!

People treat their tools too good. I'm not saying outright abuse them, but damn they are tools.

I do agree organization is key, and for me milk crates are the charm. They stack neatly in the truck or in the shop, they are cheap (free), you can see whats inside them, easy to grab and carry and there's always one or two on the side of the road just waiting for a new home. I also like those heavy duty re-usable plastic containers with hinged lids you see merchandise delivered in to stores

Now, to each your own and if fancy expensive storage is your cup of tea so it makes you look like you know what your doing and more professional that's great. Me, I rather look like a hobo and spend my money on finer things in life.

Cooper, I counted for you, 25 systainers, 2 mini systainers, and the systainer toolbox. Clearly along the lines of normal, Eric

Eric, those all get stacked up at once on your cart right! I was able to consolidate a couple of sanders and gained an extra box for router bits. I really like the systainer and foam for the router bits none of them are moving. I tipped it upside down and shook it and only one fell out. I would actually consider buying a couple more boxes if I found a good need for them.

I read this and thought you had lost your mind. Then I counted mine and found 22. 8 more if you count Bosch/Sortimo L-Boxxs. I think I actually paid retail for 2 of them.

Seriously, the framer taking up a large one and the Dewalt drill taking up another does seem a bit nuts. Mine are eventually getting condensed much tighter like the Bosch and the extra systainers will be easy to sell to the lunatic fringe adding to his collection. Cooper's example of two sanders in one and one being used for a big collection of router bits is similar to my way of organizing stuff. I would probably put 3 sanders in one and skip the cord since it would be with the vacuum.

Cooper looks very nice. I haul my bits in a systainer too. Nice work stool!

I love the lunitic fringe that changed all their systainers when Festool came out with the new design.

I guess that makes Burnet a lunatic, he did exactly that.

Kent, yeah that trim box/stool is my take on Gary's, I believe it was on his website. it is a very useful setup. Looking at these pictures makes me want to say that I would highly recommend these sliding bevels http://www.highlandwoodworking.com/s...ngbevel10.aspx
once locked down it takes a good hit to knock it out of position, unlike some others that I have had and do have. Also, the end of the handle lock screw is nice.
