Default Infrared Camera 'open box' sale

Flir is offering a couple hundred off the i7, a decent camera I own and recommend for job site work.
They also have better, more expensive cameras on sale. If you were going into consulting, you would probably prefer a camera with more features than the i7: better resolution, visible light camera built in, better reporting software.

    Doug
    i just got that email
UPS just delivered a fluke TI32 for me to use and assess for the next week or so.
I think I am going to buy it.
$6800 with a free wide angle lense, an additional 2 years warranty, and another piece of test equipment valued at $500.

Next thing is my blower door.
    I have the spray rack.

That's how I bought my cameras. I will say however I never have sold myself as a thermographer. I'm addicted to destructive testing.

that price might be worth it for the extended warranty.
I'm no longer sure about Fluke. A lot of their production is overseas now, probably in the same factory as Extech which haven't held up for me.
I bought a Fluke digital psychrometer, it is out of adjustment and it costs more to have it calibrated than to buy a new one. Never had that issue with the cheap ones I owned before, will be going back to inexpensive ones now.
Anyway, here is a link to a thread with used IR cams for sale including a TIR-1.

I got a Minneapolis door from TruTech Tools for a good deal. There seem to be a few used doors around, but they don't seem to be discounted that much.

I currently own the Fluke TIR
I am selling it for 2k if anyone is interested. This camera is still in their line up and sells for $3800 to $4195
Dave Meiland has the TI32 and still likes which means something to me.
I have a TI32 that Fluke shipped to me for an evaluation; pretty impressive camera.

I'm a Flir guy due to location. I like that Fluke takes regular batteries and their file format, but now they are made in China, I think I'll pass.

Regarding Fluke, I have two of their 73-III multi-testers, and I decided to get #2 out and use it. I have had these for quite a few years, but the second one was essentially never used, yellow protective case pristine, and the vinyl was never peeled from the screen......so

I try to use it and the screen comes up garbled, no matter the setting. I call CS to discuss and a woman tells me it's still under the lifetime warranty! Good deal.......so I ship it priority mail coast to coast.

I get a pdf quote that the unit is unable to be repaired(corrosion on mainboard xyz) but because it was discontinued, looks like 7 years ago, I can buy a new model for about $250 +/-, which supposed to be some sort of deal. I passed, and told them to keep the unit, thanks for having me pay for shipping for squat, and I will never buy another Fluke product again.

If this was beat up and abused, that would be one thing, but now it's my problem because duh, we don't have parts......What does a lifetime warranty mean??? Read the small print! And by the way, China has nothing to do with it in my case; it's just take the money and wait for the customer to die!

Just think how much this posting will cost them for how long regarding future purchases??? Way more than trying to make my earned money right.

Suddenly I am grateful for residing near Billerica, MA. Years of wondering "what if" Fluke done.

Of course my Flir was made in Estonia, not sure that's any better!

And, I don't know where Fluke IR cameras are made, just that their electrical multimeter line changed in the last year.
