Milwaukee SCMS
I am in the market for a new SCMS. I have looked through the archives and it seems that the Milwaukee might be the best fit for me. It sounds as though it is very accurate, and has good capacity for cutting vertically against the fence. I am aware that it is a bit heavy.
That said, it hasn't been mentioned in any recent threads. So what are your current thoughts on the Milwaukee relative to the other offerings in the SCMS field?
Thanks in advance.

Re: Milwaukee SCMS
I do not use it in the field .Took it to two jobs .It took up to much valuable work space .Very heavy ,Did not like the amount of room it used up in my box truck either .Both of those issues are subjective .Depends on how you use the saw .I love the red color and dust collection is pretty good . A major issue is how loud it is ,everyone for miles around get's to hear when i make a cut .This is an issue in my shop - In the last years some noises have become a bit harder to deal with .When I bought it I thought I would need it to cut beams but turns out it is easier to make a guide and bring the circular saw to the beam . The blade guard is solid plastic ,seems to be in the line of sight so often ,I end up finding myself having to hold it up to check my cut line before starting .I really like the red color .It does cut well .i love the micro adjust nob and really appreciate the digital display .This is a replacement saw -first one cut like a snake and the digital would read funny -it took a year but they finally gave me this new one which has been excellent . So any other questions ?

Re: Milwaukee SCMS
Zaker, did you get my reply to your PM? Have you looked at the Makita 12" or the Bosch axel glide? Like I said in the PM my biggest complaint about the saw is the bevel scale is not detailed enough for me.

Re: Milwaukee SCMS
Thanks for the insight. Sounds like I might want to keep researching before I make my purchase.
Kent, I did see your PM and I sent one back.

Re: Milwaukee SCMS
I saw the Lowes close to me was closing out the Bosch Axial Glide for around $679. Might want to check in your area.
