Dewalt 10 gallon hepa dust extractor...
Any of you guys got one of these. I can't find any decent user reviews on it online. I want some user feedback on good or bad experiences with this unit. Seems like a decent unit, but haven't seen on in person, so hard to say.

Re: Dewalt 10 gallon hepa dust extractor...
I looked at the previous non-HEPA version and ran it next to a Fein Turbo III at the tool dealer.
It was a lot louder than the Fein. It was also top-heavy, worse than the original round Feins before they went to the bigger base and 5 wheels. Hose was cheap shop-vac junk. I am pretty sure the low power through the outlet was a deal breaker. I'm thinking 6 amps but would check that out to be sure.
It was tempting, and worth the $200 asking price but I spent around $100 more for the Fein.
Same tool dealer had the HEPA version at their fall sale at $250. Hard to say it isn't worth $250 if it fits your needs. Just don't expect it to be a Bosch, Fein, or Festool vac for less money.

Re: Dewalt 10 gallon hepa dust extractor...
thanks Greg,
yeah the price is tempting for a hepa vac. I haven't seen one in person, and in the pictures it does seem a bit cheap quality. I just checked the specs and the tool output is limited to 3-5 amps. One youtube video review from one of the major tool sellers shows it running a 15amp dewalt miter saw - must be BS. I think I'll hold out for a Fein or Festool.

Re: Dewalt 10 gallon hepa dust extractor...
Hi
I have 2 of these units, one with HEPA, one without and I have run a 15 amp table saw on it
It is not as nice as the Festool I have, but it does the job and price was right.
Thanks
Rich

Re: Dewalt 10 gallon hepa dust extractor...
are we talking about the same unit:
http://www.dewalt.com/tools/dust-man...s-d27905h.aspx
you have actually pluged a 15A saw into the vacuum's power port, and it starts and stops the saw without issue?
Thanks
Kevin
