    How I can identify the correct insulation for example Interior Wall R 13
    Exterior Wall R19 ,in which situation use Kraft insulation

    I am intrigued because this is the issue I raised in my first post on JLC years ago. Rodent infestation seems to be inevitable. I agree with Doug's post. I also think all houses get mice. Rats are different story. If you build a house that attracts rats, you did something wrong. Mice can get into any hole you can fit a pencil. This is a good rule of thumb for building.

    If you can build a house that resists mice, you are better than me.

    Actually it is a Deer Mouse that is being blamed for getting into the insulation.

    There is a map of the United States in the link above showing the prevalence of hantavrius nationwide. "Rat" is used by the con-men going around selling insulation removal. After the crisis is over some of the same shysters will be back selling insulation replacement.
