    Default Meter work tables

Have any of you guys used the keter brand work tables? They look interesting and compact with a large capacity. I have been pretty happy with the organizer tool boxes (branded Husky), so I was thinking these would be a good addition to the truck.

Does anyone have any negatives? Amazon wants $119, I've seen ads for as low as $79 at Home Cheapo, but COSTCO has them for $49.99 and two for the price of one looks enticing.

P.S. sorry for the title, spell check on phone.

Phil it looks like a great gift for the DIY, but you can't sell me on anything but Great White Saw horses and a solid core door for a temporary site work bench.

That Keter thing wouldn't last a week the way things are treated and used in a real world work site.

I think Dad would love it to make his bird houses on a Saturday morning.

Seems like a lot of plastic to me. Then again, may depend on what you plan to use them for. If you're just looking for some extra tables to put things on and keep things off the floor, they may be okay. I don't think I would put them to heavy use.

BTW, I hear a lot about the Great Whits's. Anybody have a link? Curious how they stack up against the Trojan's?

saw them at cosco .sturdy ,could make a good easy to store foldout catch-all .set mitersaw on it and make some good wings .the shelf would be handy on the stand for misc scraps and a few tools .For the money it could have value .

I had rewards $$$ from COSTCO so I got a couple of them. If I end up not liking them, I'll give one to my FIL and keep one here at the house. I can make a plywood lattice for breaking down sheet goods and use the two as the supports. They will store easily in my truck, already figured where they'll go. Now all I have to do is clean out the beast ........ After tomorrow ;-). I communicated with another contractor who has had them for about a year and is very happy with their versatility.

Keep us posted on how you like it, Phil. I've been thinking about a successor to my Workmate.

I had a workmate as well. The top swelled and the table was heavy to boot. It lasted a long time though. ;-)

That bench was also sold under the black and decker or skill name too. I like the vika quickbench can be a table or saw horse. this was the first link I found cheesy but it works [the link that is]http://www.diynetwork.com/videos/vika-quickbench-video/65876.html

This may turn out to be interesting.
HD has this Workmate advertised to include Vice

I have a takeoff "Workbench" without the 'vice' that is much stronger than it looks
and is great for Punch List jobs. It holds a 10" Hitachi MS just as well as my Workmate.

    Hi Phil
Do you happen to have the SKU or other number so I can check my local Costco before I head there. It is a 25 mile drive and I would want to call to see if they have them
    Thanks

    On the receipt it is listed as;
    517619 WORK TABLE 49.99 A

    bar code #
    31161 02106

Call them, it does not show up on the website.
