California to Tax Lumber

The tax is to go into effect the first of the year, this is apparently part of the legislation to tax Internet purchases (Amazon Tax) that nobody talked about. I thought I'd post it here since it should be factored into estimates, we have to pay our servants' pensions somehow.

I'm wondering how all the contractors will deal with that?? Are they talking about finish materials or framing materials? Aren't most of the framers moving to steel given the seismic requirements in your code? You are probably right governor moonbeam needs to pay for all the takers and he needs to get the money from someone...

It's never ending the taxes that California wants to impose. The city of Richmond, Ca. has a tax initiative on the ballot this November to impose a tax on all SODA sold in the city. The justification for the tax is to make the citizens healthier....... They should raise taxes on guns and bullets and fight crime , thats how they can improve everyones health!

Did they actually define "storage" in detail? I would consider storage as shelves, sheds, and possibly garages?
