new concrete garage apron. Tie in ?
Ive heard a lot of debate about this issue.
Should an exterior concrete apron tie into the frost wall of a garage in cold climates. The quick/easy answer is no because of frost heave on the apron. But with well draining well compacted gravel underneath it (the apron), plus maybe drain tile draining to daylight, cant frost heave be managed?

In my mind, there is no reason to take the risk. I would definitely recommend against even trying.

The most I would consider is extending the apron a few inches beyond the frost wall. Safer to follow Michael's advice.
