    Default QuickDrive Fastening System

Last year I stopped by the Simpson booth at the Remodeling Show to look at the QuickDrive system that they make fasteners for. I took the reps card and was resolved to call him when I located my DeWalt deck/drywall gun.
Well, I lost his card in my hustle to get home and waited till JLCLive to approach the booth again. I really like the system and after trying the ballistic fasteners from UFO and being disappointed with their performance I was ready to go QuickDrive. The rep I had spoken to was not there but the one that was gave me his info and a couple of weeks ago I finally contacted him regarding converting my gun to the QuickDrive system. I hadn't used that gun in years since I got the Senco DS-200.
He came by the house and did the conversion. Long extension so all 6'-1" of me doesn't have to bend at all to install the screws and that can be taken out of the equation if I am doing stand-up horizontal driving and just use the nose piece.
I was expecting a bill of around $100+ but when I pressed him for the "damage", he said "no charge buddy, just buy some screws".
    AWESOME!!!!!
What a great repurposing of a good tool that I no longer used due to the use of the DS-200 and impact drivers.
Maybe some of you guys out there in JLCLand can get in on this deal. They make color coordinated fasteners for most of the composites and PVC decking, subfloor screws and self drilling deck screws for IPE and Cambera in stainless.

I got the conversion, a rifle bag to store it in, a belt quiver for the screw srips and 10 sample strips. I'm a happy camper. If anyone is in my area, send me a PM and I'll give you the CT rep's contact info.

I think I have a box or two of screws if you want them, I sold the tool last year. Just PM me so I know which screw strips you need. I think they're yellow? been awhile.

I gotsta mention. There's a good reason they can give away the QuickDrive. Its because you can only use QuickDrive screws. I have a PAM gun that I've been extremely happy with. It, along with all other autofeed systems I know of have interchangeable screws (except for Quick Drive) It can really be a pain if you can't find the Quick Drive screws. With everything else you can buy from almost anywhere.

Have not seen the PAM around here or its' screws. 3 local distributors/yards carry the QuickDrive fasteners.

The quickdrives screws are what the lumber yards normally stock around here. I am happy with the system. We only use it for subfloor during framing though. It does not seem like it would be accurate enough for framing a nice deck. (I guess that is an operator issue)
