Mafell Videos
I posted these videos on the FOG but thought you guys would be interested as well.
The following are from the Ligna 2011 show and are translated to english. I really like the first video's demonstration of the vibration free sander.

Re: Mafell Videos
That P1cc Jigsaw is really impressive BUT it does need their special blade to do the really extreme cuts. It is triangular in crosssection, wide at the teeth. It is expensive but you can use normal blades for normal use.

Re: Mafell Videos
Greg...do you have the P1cc? I have wondered about using other blades with the saw but wasn't able to find the info.

Re: Mafell Videos
I don't have one but I know someone that bought one 2-3 years ago when they were only available in Europe in 240v 50hz. I have seen him do some amazing work with it. He restores and builds wooden boats.
The blade was called something like "cumix" and looked to be at least twice the normal thickness at the teeth and normal thickness at the back. It was really stiff compared to a normal blade. The kerf is twice the normal width. He said one blade was about the same price as a 5 pack of Bosch blades. I think the saw also used normal blades but can't be sure of that. I'll track him down and ask.
The dust collection seemed to be worked out better than either the Festool Trion or Bosch 1590 with dust adapter as it didn't require a guard that blocks your view and still had a blower that kept the blade area clean like the Bosch.

Re: Mafell Videos
The track saw is similar, but with a few cute little extras of it's own. They even designed it to run on both the Mafell track and the Festool/Hilti/Protool/Makita form track (in the same way the the DW runs on DW and Festool. etc tracks). Bosch are now selling a clone version, the GKT55, which is slightly lower spec (still as good as the TS55, same price) - made by Mafell
They call it a CUMax and they are expensive, but they really do work. The saw will also use standard Festool/Bosch type blades, but if you use them you lose a lot of the advantages of the saw.
One thing that did intrigue me at a demo was the separate bases for vertical and angle cutting. Personally I douibt iit will be replacing my Bosch anytime soon

Re: Mafell Videos
If you think Festool is expensive, try Mafell prices.
If Mafell prices "don't impress you much"
Try companies like Fein, Lamello and Virutex. Then ask yourself if anybody else makes tools like they do, then look at the production they can offer.Limey Carpenter
