Flat Baseboard Stock
What is the rule of them when doing flat baseboard stock in a modern theme
Doors are caseless with a 1/2x1/4 reveal to them.
Does the exposed ends get a return or not ?
Corners don't seem to be mitered but just butt into each other.

Re: Flat Baseboard Stock
My favorite detail with caseless doors is to run the baseboard flush to the sheetrock, with a 3/16" x 3/16" rabbet at the top of the base. That way the base can butt into the door jamb.

Re: Flat Baseboard Stock
When I've done this, I've butted inside corners, miter outside corners. For the "self return" ends, I would ease the edges with round over or chamfer bit and sand the endgrain down smooth so it is closed and won't end up rough after paint or finish. I wouldn't bother with an actual mitered return.
I'm not too familiar with caseless doors, however.
