any furniture makers out there?
I need to add some small stainless steel nails to a stamped SS backsplash which is not being held adequately by adhesive. Fortunately there is 5mm plywood backing board behind the metal. On ceilings, the traditional way to do this is with cone head nails, but on this accessible wall, the cone head nail heads would stick out too much.
I need round heads that are as smooth and thin as possible. Even better would be if the heads were a little concave underneath to match the stamped profile. The shanks could be as short as 3/8", which makes me think furniture makers might have a better chance of being familiar with such than a builder. Have y'all seen anything like this or know where I should look?

Use stainless steel fascia nails. Just polish the color off of the head. Cut it to length. Around here they would be Strong Hold nails which is a Maze company.

www.tupent.com check under stainless boat nails. Only trouble is you may have to buy quantity.

They are very small and come off as you sand the color off. Use a file if need be.
Adding 2 sided mounting tape to an install like this holds the pieces in place as the adhesive sets up. I like the the tape in the window insulator kits. 3M makes a variety of bond and thicknesses.

I really think furniture nails, a.k.a. upholstery nails, are the way to go because they are concave and meant to be decorative. Just hoping someone can steer me to a good source.

I've used nails from these folks in the past where the head is a design element, maybe they will have something that will work for you.

It's looking like escutcheon nails might be a good alternative. Anybody know a source?
