beadboard beadboard beadboard and windsor one
here is a bedroom for a new baby on its way in july... 12 sheets of bead.. I used windsor one 1x8 boards for bottom and 1x6 for top and then I used the windsor one 003 cap for wainscot.. that cap piece is awesome and really gave it a great look the customers were blown away.
now the red paint...... I told them I would paint the upper part for them, they gave me the name and I ordered paint, grab it at sw and went to job... opened it up and it was that dark cranberry red.. wtf..
I new I needed dark gray primer now,, but I thought oh well 2 coats maybe 3 it will look fine... nope.. finally went and bought primer, primed it and 2 coats then it came out fantastic.
remember that guys dark primer for dark paints no if and buts about it...Kreg

Was the wall surface that rough, or did you use a 1" nap roller?

Nice job Kreg !
The WO cap mldg is nice but it does not have any extra width to it for scribing to wavy walls. I usually run a bull nose on some WO stock so it can be scrbed and then apply a 3/4" scotia under it.
I know what you mean about the primer, it tooks four coats of that color to cover the white primer on a recessed TV cab I made !Bruce B.
If it takes me twice as long to build something, does that make it "Half Fast" ?

Kreg,
Nice.
I heard you were trying to get the Craftsman cap molding. Sorry they couldn't make that happen! Maybe you should become a dealer.

Yep nobody had iron stock except for Boston. And it was outa this world to ship it here and I would have to of bought $1500 worth. About 300 '. They are working on it. This cap was up 6'. And the 3/16 gap. Did not show. They were short like me !!! Ha ha.
But if 32-36. Yep I would have had to use the other
ThanksKreg

Kreg, remind me to never hire your painter! You dont see any of the tall beadboard up north, my sister has it in Raleigh though, Eric

Hit me up I will give you some tips. You should definitely be using an elastomeric urethane caulk, BTW youre still an American hero in my book, Eric
