Lightweight concrete over Radiant
Pouring 1 1/2 inch lightweight concrete over radiant and advantech subfloor on an interior application. Do you have to prep the subfloor with anything like k 88 or just pour directly over a clean subfloor? Any tips would be appreciated.

Re: Lightweight concrete over Radiant
Gypcrete sub usually primes the floor before pouring. Cannot remember what they used.

We've just done it right over the Advantech.

Prime, check to see if the light weight requires lath over plywood.

Prime with k 88 or acrylic 60 product? Is it to adhere the concrete to the plywood? Subs use fiber mesh in the concrete here in the northeast.

Advantech says to prime to promote adhesion:

Re: Lightweight concrete over Radiant
Maybe a little late, but you'll definitely want to prime at a minimum. When we do lightweight over Advantech, we also staple lathe down...cheap insurance against a possible nightmare scenario (if the bond between the lightweight and the Advantech were to break).
