since it is only 3 hours away I am going to be there to see the show and learn so more tips and ideas, and meet more friends..

I am at Gary's show now and have already learned tips and Ideas that have made this trip worth the 5 hour 30 min drive to and 5 hour 30 min drive back. $80 for hotel room 75 bucks for rental car and gas.

I have decided that I never want to move. After being here for nearly 25 years I have things that I love and hate about my house. Mostly what my wife hates is the amount of stuff that we have accumulated and neither of us seem to want to get rid of. I am not sure hwo is worse. I keep things related to construction such as old square nails and wood pegs from a 1840 home, old plumbing handles from cast iron bathtubs, even old pulleys from windows sash that are ornate. She keeps other things that she deems as important to her. Between the two of us it is hopeless..

Nearly every year we have a garage sale and purge some stuff but some still seems to get saved and we just cannot get rid of it. Biggest issue for many of the items is that it is only interseting to one or two folks, mainly my wife and myself. I doubt my kids have any interest in it and some of it would only be interesting to another person like myself who hates to see history get tossed out.

Nice to finally meet the man under the bandana. I just hope I can sleep tonight after Gary showed me all the things did wrong on my last exterior job. What a great event. Can't wait to go to the next one.
