The USGBC has gone too Far
I never have been a fan of the USGBC
It looks like they agree with Dick Seibert
you never can have too much glass

Well, cars are coming around to my point of view, why not homes?

"Lincoln will demonstrate its heavenly view at the New York auto show April 4. At the push of a button, the 15-square-foot glass roof will recede over the MKZ’s rear window, said C.J. O’Donnell, the brand’s marketing manager."
Just the old GM clamshell rear window (1970's station wagons) in reverse. How novel.

Re: The USGBC has gone too Far
I'm not sure who should be more embarrassed, me for being an idiot, or the USGBC for having someone in the industry actually believe they would do such a thing.

Re: The USGBC has gone too Far
Thanks for all the interest in the article. I had fun writing it and seeing that several people actually fell for it at first.
Dick, there were many clues before the one you claim tipped you off, and I'm not sure why you assume the use of 'Doctor' would be the dead giveaway. Most US college and university students refer to their PhD professors as Doctor. (I know that from firsthand experience on both sides of the name-calling.)
Anyway, if you liked that one, check out last year's post:

And one of my most popular funny posts, which accomplished my objective of getting into Joe Lstiburek's big event:
I Don't Need No Stinkin' Building Science Summer Camp!

And speaking of Joe, take a close look at the name of the building scientist in this article: Joe Rbleuskit.
