Load control module needed
I need a box that allows me to control a 110V load from an external low-voltage switch or dry contacts. Basically a relay and 12 or 24V transformer in a box, preferably with a receptacle on it.
Yes I can make this myself, but I need a clean looking assembly that's hopefully listed or at least sold as a manufactured unit. Can you help?

Re: Load control module needed
This looks like it might work. I have not used this model, but I have used relays made by the same company.

Re: Load control module needed
Thanks David. That's just a 24V transformer in a box. Would need to add a relay to it. Might work.

Re: Load control module needed
Well stink! The reason I posted a link to that page was because that site came up in a search for a relay that I use called a RIB. It stands for Relay In a Box. They are self contained, compact, and very handy. They just don't have a transformer built in. I thought the page I linked was one that did.
I get them at a local HVAC wholesaler as none of the electrical supply houses in my area stock them.

Yes we use the RIBs as well. Very handy little buggers, you can attach them to any JB.
On this job we would have preferred a box with everything inside, but might have to settle for the box you linked and put a RIB wart on the side of it. Thanks again.

Re: Load control module needed
I have this Honeywell controller on my boiler. 24 volt T-stat signal closes a line voltage relay.

Re: Load control module needed
Tom, that looks very much like what I need. Do you know how much current the relay can handle? I'm looking at about a 1/2hp pump. No specs, I'll have to search the Honeywell site.

The specs are on this page, scroll down. 7.4FLA, 2000VA total max.

Re: Load control module needed
OK, I eventually found the exact thing I need:

Thanks Tom for pointing me in the Honeywell direction. Your zone control will also work just fine, but is more than I need, although apparently cheaper.
David, I'm doing a prototype flood control system. Need to control a line operated pump from a pair of dry contacts (sensor or alarm output).

Re: Load control module needed
The Honeywell looks like just the thing, but if you want something smaller at a lower cost you might look at Wattstopper power pack. The "B" series is rated at 1 HP. There are other series with additional relays, etc. They're designed to work with occupancy sensors but work just fine with a switch or a pair of dry contacts.
