anyone heard of 4 Star Sales & Marketing Inc.

I got a call fron these guys at 4 Star Sales & Marketing Inc. said the repersent a large investor group that buys distressed forclosures and want local contractor to do quick turn around. Promised 150 K in business for an flat fee of $5,000. Web site exists but explains a slightly different business startegy.

Has anybody ever heard of them?

How can this not be a scam? The only way it would not be would be if they got a percentage of the billable amount. Otherwise if they ask for money up front tell them to pound sand.

Be careful with SLANDER as I found 1 report that supposedly someone from another company worked for 4 Star Sales & Marketing, Inc. And is it illegal for this to happen?

Yes. I do handyman work in Las Vegas. I actually used to work for this company. I was told by a person I used to work with about this site and it's just sad that people do not know the true stories about companies and make false accusations about them. It hurts their business and makes us contractors look very unprofessional. WE contractors have a very bad reputation out there and it's hard for us to find jobs because of other contractors ripping people off by doing bad work, taking deposits and not returning, etc. I'm struggling to get by and am barely making it. I'm a very small company and if someone made false accusations like this against me I would be out of business. I just don't think it's fair. 4 Star Sales & Marketing, Inc. is a really good company and does not rip off customers like other lead service providers out there. I have seen them give countless numbers of refunds back to customers with no questions asked that followed the terms and conditions.

Anyways these are just my thoughts.
