Mini Lathe Unimat SL DB-200 for sale

I figured I've give my fellow tradesmen a crack at this before it went to ebay.

It was given to me a few years ago and has been sitting in my basement since then.....although I have moved it a few hundred times. I know VERY little about this. I do know it is a very good little lathe for small metal parts. I ASSUME it would be good for pen turning with the right chuck.

It comes in a wooden box and also comes with various extra parts. The movement seems a bit sticky so I assume the gears need some cleaning.

I have no idea what this is worth so offer up if anyone wants it.

i have the same lathe it is actualy a very preceise tool and will work with any media metal wood or plastic. worth about $200

I have recently purchased a Emco-Unimat Model SL, type UG7750, made in Austria

The machine appears to be in relatively good condition and is still in its original box.there are however parts missing and some in need of replacing.

From what I can see so far:
1. Instruction Manual & spare parts list
2. Four jaw chuck jaws ; three are damaged but usable (thin sliding lip broken)
3. Four jaw chuck key missing.
4. Chuck key for tailstock missing its a MOUNTM12 x 1 capacity 0 - 6.5mm
3. Drive belts; there are 4 belts (2 large & 2 small same sizes) how many does this model take?

I am also very interested in the accessories for this model, are they still available?

Do you know where or who I can contact for more information?

I'd give you $130 shipped for it just to have such a cool miniature lathe. But I don't need it, so that's why I'm not offering the aforementioned "retail value" of $200.00

I had that model and turned small aluminum parts on it quite a bit....turned out of round by about .005 so once mat'l was chucked it was chucked, but saved my butt on bicycle/moto small spacers more than once. The motor is wimpy so you have to take light cuts, too.

I've currently got an Atlas Craftsman 6x18 metal lathe and a Logan Montgomery Wards 10x24 lathe, so I'll not do much turning on this little sucker, well, maybe a bit of playing around. It's just too cool not to have...

Feel free to try and get a better offer - I'll not be offended. But don't pay too much attention to buy it now pricing as a reference of what something's worth. Look at the completed auctions to get a better idea of market value.

I think you may be able to get closer to $200 for it on the bay, as the poster above mentioned.

I had the same lathe going back about 20yrs ago. I think when I sold it back then I got over $400 for it. As long as it is in good shape and everything is there it is worth a few bucks.

Here are some SOLD ones on ebay for those that think its just a little toy. They are actually a well known high quality, sought after item.. Not sure how they compare to yours.
