Default Which Tools are you Attached to?

If you were to lose all your tools, which ones would you immediately replace? I'm talking specific models here.

As an example, I had a Milwaukee 6268-21 jigsaw go walkabout last fall. It wasn't necessarily a fine piece of workmanship, but it had some great features like tool-less bevel adjustment & a killer LED headlight that I found I really missed. So even though I have a couple other decent jigsaws, I replaced it this past week. I debated the decision for a bit but once I used the saw the other day, I remembered it also had that "feel" that few tools do - the one that seems like they're an extension of your arm. Needless to say, I'm happy to have the (new) old friend back.

Anyone else have a similar sick relationship like the one I mentioned?

Nah. By all evidence, he's a bit detached, Phil.

Yes, I would go out and get another MultiMaster the second it went missing. I do a lot of cutting in, replacing this and that. I have the bosch flush cut and it is ok. The mm is precise and easy I actually started doing certain things a little different because the mm makes tie ins so easy.

Greg, TS 55 all my Festool routers. I have a Porter-Cable Portaplane 126 that I bought in 1990 that I protect like it's one of my kids...don't make it like that any more. My hand tools...wouldn't know where to start.

I'd second that, Joe. It's an invaluable tool. We've been using the Bosch cordless version quite a bit lately & despite its limitations, it's become indispensable for our work. I just ordered another one today, as a matter of fact. I still like the MM the best, but it's hard to beat cordless convenience for quick jobs.

Agreed on the PortaPlane, Kent. Mine's a similar vintage & doing well. Glad the a-hole that absconded with the jigsaw didn't get the plane.

I second that, plus the Multi-master that was already mentioned and my Bosch 7 piece 18 volt kit and all my Festool sanders.

Don't know where I would be without it, but considering I have 2 sets of them, I guess I'm ok for now.

I broke our Stabila LaserBob about 2 months ago and was slow in sending it in to Stabila and realized how much I use and rely on that thing.

But my real answer to your question to what tools I'd replace

I'd say Kyle and Bryan :-) they are on the left http://lh3.ggpht.com/_QGGH89KvQEY/Sw...IMG_2016-1.jpg

The Ambulance! Without it, I wouldn't and couldn't have all the others.
Definitely the oscillating tool (mine's a dremel). But seriously, any of my tools that walks would be replaced immediately. If I found the SOB that pilfered any of my tools, I would use the remaining ones to crucify him. ;-)
