    Default Bags or Buckets?

    What do you guys carry your drywall tools in?

    Me personally, I have a finishing bag, which is kinda like a duffle bag, but even stronger for all my pans, knifes, staple gun, clincher, snips, etc.

    Another bookbag for my 10 & 12 boxes, angle head, goose neck, rollers, extra bazooka blades, and bazooka accessories.

    Another duffle/luggage type bag for my screwguns, pouch, lasers, etc.

    I do carry buckets, but I tend to use them when painting.

    Joe I use duffle bag type,locking lid containers,and milk crates. I even use the locking containers for my sprayer and paint tools,they all seem to travel easy in my truck and leave jobsite clean and my garage!!DSJOHN

    Toolbags & milkcrates. Buckets are for mixing mud & cleaning tools & paintbrushes.

    I tired the bucketboss route for handtools, stuff gets lost in the bottom too much. And you can't stack 'em like you can milkcrates...

    I use a bucket for all hand taping tools. I have 2 Rubbermaid Rough Neck 18 gallon totes one for tool belt, screw guns, mics tools. The other one is for extra taping tools, sanding blocks / paper and other taping / painting related items. I thinking of getting another tote for extension cords, skil saw and other crap so its not all over the place. I also carry a 13' mini giant ladder, and those gorrilla brand work bench / platforms with me too. It helps having an 8' bed with utility cap!

    I use bags for the day to day tools anyway. From time to time, if the job is big enough, I will use a crate for tape/sanding blocks, corner bead tools, etc.

    Some buckets with the canvas outer bags, some boxes and crates. It all gets put on a rolling maid cart or a rolling scaffold. Now the Radial Roller 2 carries the Mud Pro II and the rest goes on the other stuff.

    So you bought the set? I sure looked at them but could foot the bill. I was very interested in the corner tools sicne that seems to be part of where I loose lots of time. Make sure you let us know how they work for you. I have been interested in their stuff for quite a while but just cannot seem to bite the bullet.

    All I saw him demonstrating was the corner tools and the dispensing tube. It looked like the case had a couple of flat boxes also. Or was I seeing something else?

    If it is the $800 case, it has flat applicators, and corner applicators, two corner flushers and a Super Taper. You can add additional sizes in corner tapers, 45 degree and 90's.

    Beez,

    I bought the show demo unit, discounted with a few extra items.

    This is the kit I purchased;

    I ran across this when looking to post the kit;

    I purchased it for a whole house remodel that starts next week, hoping it saves the time I think it will. I have been considering them since GregDi's (I did give you credit for seeding the idea) JLC article a few years back. Hard for me to make a purchase site unseen, the show gave me that opportunity. If these work out I will purchase a few more of their items.

    An FYI from them, they were purchased by a company in Louisville Kentucky, the goal is to increase sales through more outlets/exposure.

    Let us know how they work for you. I sure looked at them but did not have that kind of money in reserves for tools. Part of what I want to know about is how long it takes you to get used to them and clean up time. I have bought a few tools at home shows or such that the display guy makes look so good. Then I get it home, cannot get it to do anything like I thought and then it either sits on the shelf or I put it out at a garage sale for dirt cheap. So far it has never been anything that costly but I am a bit gun shy about it happening to me again.

    Read that other thread listed above. It covers how long it takes to get used to them.
