i have the duo fast hand nailer with the adjustable knob on top..best one I have found to last..If I do a lot of it, i glue it on wit trim tex adhesive though...less wear on the hand..the electric duo fast is a good gun too

NO NO NO screw that electric staple chit and get a nice decent air stapler , as long as it doesnt have the name Bostick on it. Heck even the small protercable air stapler with pot air compressor ya get at HD is great to use. Have them on sale for around 100 bucks

Re: staplers and tear away trim
You mean they actually have an electric stapler that holds up ? I bought a few long time ago and they never seemed to hold up for any amount of time . I just carry a tool box for all my staples snips templets staple gun , I grab that along with my air line and small compressor and I'm good to go . If it is just a few sticks say maybe a dozen or so . I will most of the time just mud them in and tape.

Here are the 2 I use
http://www.itwindfast.com/tools/inde...ric/EWC-5018A/
http://www.itwindfast.com/tools/inde...anual/CS-5000/
The hand gun I have dropped from 30ft over the side of a lift (accident) drove over it because i forgot it was there....got down and got it and went back to stapling..no issues what so ever...I am pretty rough on staple guns because it is time consuming to begin with, so i get it on and go....it gets thrown around
The electric one I don't use much because honestly, it is just as fast to glue radius bead or tear away for me...I do use it on commercial jobs though when they are too cheap to buy eliminator

Re: staplers and tear away trim
I bought an electric one from Walmart 4 years ago and still works good. Has some dents in it from falling off a ladder, but still works great.

Re: staplers and tear away trim
Divergent staplers tend to last longer than other electronic staplers because they are shooting staples only into drywall, not the wood underneath. So less impact wear and tear on the driver.

Re: staplers and tear away trim
I ended up finding a Porter Cable pancake compressor w/ trim gun for $50 on c-list. So I just use it with my Senco trim stapler and rock 'n roll!

Re: staplers and tear away trim
all my commercial work has tear away on top. I use a hammer tacker and put a 1/4" staple. works fast and the staples are always in. I sometimes use the spray glue that works really well. high cost and a little messy if not used properly.

Re: staplers and tear away trim
Using a hammer tacker is fine on double layer 5/8" but on single layer 1/2" would be a mess when you hit between studs!~
