That's where you have to think outside the box a little. The deck (or sunroom or whatever) might look the same.. but are the clients and their friends the same? Is your crew the same?

Don't just show them pictures of a deck or a family room -- show them what it will be like owning that deck or family room. How will life be better, more fun? If it's closets you do - how will things be less chaotic and more efficient ? If it's a garage, show mom unloading the groceries and staying dry.. show dad working at his workbench.... Don't just tell what your process is -- show it with pictures of your crew. Using people in your photos kills 2 birds w one stone - it makes your photos less generic and it makes your site stand out.

I've been to your site David. I was going to have you build me a home up there but then the economy crapped. :)

I agree with Allan. If a competitor in my small market was caught using someones else photos that would be a bad move. Word spreads like wildfire.

        Re: YouTube Promotional Video

LinkedTube http://www.linkedtube.com/ is a Flash widget that adds link and sharing options to YouTube videos. With this you can transform any YouTube video into a useful viral promotion tool. Unlike standard YouTube players it links directly back to your URL, for example you can create video product listings linking back to your website or blog. Plus, when others share your video they all link back to your own URL.

                Hey OB,

Yep, I've been pretty busy lately. I ran for public office and got beat by 50 votes out of 21000.
                Go figure. :-(
Just tryin' to hang on down here. It is s-l-o-w......
I re-roofed 4 large sections of a commercial building by myself the last two weeks. It was lonely, hot, miserable and I swear... a bundle of shingles weighs more than it use to. :-)

So slow in California i had some time to start on this type of advertising/networking, we set up a facebook account first and will follow with youtube postings soon. There is a very good article in the business section of JLC June 2010 that walks though the process with pros and cons of the different tyoes of "social media'
