    Thanks Joe.

I did all the silver panels on the flat walls and the architect wanted the same look on the radius's. Since you can't bend 1" thick fiber cement I came up with that. It was a nice addition to my contract and is directly across the street from Louisville Slugger Field in Downtown Louisville.

Animoto now has High Quality view on their videos, much better view than their original setup. I cost $5.00 to upgrade a video to HQ. I posted on my blog called "Home Movies". For best view, click "HQ" and "Full Screen" in lower right. Then "Play" lower left.

Beautiful, as always, but I found the individual shots in the video to cycle by much too fast and were too 'jumpy' to really gain an appreciation for the craftsmanship. If I hadn't seen your work before I don't think I would have gained much from the video...just my 2 cents.

I realize Josh posted that months ago, but it is a very cool job - check out the video if you haven't yet. Josh - is that a heater there that you're sandwiching the sheets between in the middle of the clip?

And Allan - I agree w/ Norm - I had a hard time following the action. I think the intent is good - fast-paced, exciting music, "dancing" through your houses, but I think you need a slower tempo, or a different way of resolving the individual photos.

Thanks for the input. I know the photos go fast, I sort of itended that. It is something completely different from a Picasa slideshow, which I have also. As well as just individual photos on my website.

The speed is a function of how many you load onto one video and the length of the background music.

It's something different. And as I've heard from the experts, for a builder it is better to be different than to be better. I like that motto.

              Re: YouTube Promotional Video

MTV (aimed at young viewers w limited attention span) edits their productions in 3-5 second "scenes". It takes a full second for someone to really understand what they're looking at, so if the transitions are faster than that..it's jarring and unsettling to the viewer.

Directors of horror films use transitions that are faster than the viewer can comfortably understand to elicit emotions of fear and suspicion and to put the viewer on the edge of their seat. That's not what you want to accomplish with a product montage.

Also transitions that break apart and fly away affect the subconscious the same as something"blowing up" or "falling apart" . Instead of that - you want your transitions to "build" - seem "solid".

These are very early stage renderings of my next spec home. Need to change coloring, materials, etc, add landscape. This is a bit different from the architecture I've been building, and a much smaller home. 4,000 sq ft living area.

All of your homes i've seen are very nice allan but that's the first one I could see myself living in. I like that modern look.

Something about the stairway doesn't look right to me though.

                    Thanks Allan.

Check out the little short example I did on the site in just a couple of minutes:

                    http://animoto.com/play/Cp54RGaDhtPcMZBHub1sxw#

I didn't have any business photos so I used the ones I had on my computer to make a little Valentine "card" for the GF.

                    What do you think?

What do I think? I think for $30/yr Animoto is a pretty neat way to produce “faux videos” from digital photos.

                          Re: YouTube Promotional Video

Thanks once again Allan. I had been looking at doing something like this for years but figured the effort wasn't worth the time until I went to the animoto site. It is so easy and quick, I am planning to make faux videos of some of our road trips and send them to friends I ride with as momentos along with "family albums" for each of my kids.

                            Those "videos" are really neat!

Two questions...When will the music police take you to task for using an artist's song without payment?
                            and
Considering how big the net is and all, Can you remove these when you want, or go back and fix a pic or two?

I'd say all those songs are free. You won't be able to add something like Rolling Stones with a hefty license fee.
