JLC - Providence RI

Hey all,

Just wanted to see who plans on attending JLC in Providence RI? I will be attending Thursday to catch Gary's finish carpentry session. Will likely pop back on Saturday to attend the exhibit and see if I can pick up a few tools that I need to order.

This is my first year attending and would love to meet some of the people who's posts I have enjoyed and learned from.

I'm going Wednesday night through Saturday. I'm going to sit in on Gary's Thursday session also.

fred... you will learn alot from garys clinic and class... hope to see you there just come up and say hi. I were an american flag bandana and an BLue shirt with an american eagle on it.... I am sure you have seen my pic.

usually thursday they have a beer fest in the open area on the 2nd or 3rd floor around 5pm stop by their I will have a table set up where I will be given out autographed photos of my self... you know I am a legend in my own mind..... lol

Isn't the beer set up on Friday? Or do they do it both days?

Just dont want you waiting at your table with your sharpie and wondering why no one is showing up for your autographs.

I will be there Thursday doing a short 20 minute talk on "Understanding the Coped Joint" as part of Gary's Finish Carpentry session. Hope it is of use to those that attend.

I just checked my calendar. There is a 'Happy Hour' Thursday at 530pm and a 'Welcome Party' at 5pm Friday.

20min for a coping section? Sounds like a tight fit...

Guys,
I will be there representing the Heartwood School and the Timber Framers Guild in booth #433. Billy Dillon will be there as well, and possibly Curtis Milton. We'll have some roof models, eyebrow dormers, drawings, books and a bunch of other stuff. Stop on by!
