  • cabinet door hinge shims?

I am wondering if anyone knows where I can buy some shims for cabinet door hinges? They generally are plastic, U shaped and about 1/16" thick and 3/4" wide. I used to get them with aristocraft cabinets, but I haven't done a set of those in years, and have run out of these shims. They are very handy and would like to buy a bunch more.

        Here's a couple:

        http://www.glazelockshims.com/products.htm

I bought big bags of the handi-shims at the JLC show the past couple of years. They do what they're supposed to do and they're cheap enough...

tsbrewers- where on the web site are they described? Looked, but no find.

Are those the kind that come in sheets and you break them apart?

Here is where i found them, http://www.fastecindustrial.com/cata...lement_Web.pdf (pdf file) they are on page 13 of the catalog.

When we get them, they are not in a sheet, just in singles. We used to get them stapled to the bottom of large vanity cabinets in a little bag. They would send a little bag with about a dozen of the shims. We did talk our cabinet distributor in to sending us a box of 5,000 once, but that was years ago and they are long gone. I am hoping I can buy a couple boxes of them for reasonable since they are handy for many things.

I just did a kitchen where the corner cabinet doors would hit each other. We used a few of these and it fixed the problem. But it was my last batch.

Are those for shimming euro hinge mounting plates? I've never seen them before.

It is for hinges on face frame cabinets like the pic below. But they are handy for other things, shimming regular door hinges, etc. Some cabinets come with cheap non adjustable hinges, so these help get everything lined up.

They are pretty much the exact size of the mounting plate on these hinges, so they look better than cardboard, or wood, or the other things we have tried to use. :)

I keep an assortment of glazier horseshoe shims from C.R. Laurence on hand for shimming cabinets, countertops, doors, moldings, etc. (1/16, 1/8 & 1/4 thickness by 2" and 3 1/2" lengths)

Thanks, my SIL works there. But I was really just looking for the exact shims I had posted. They needed to be 3/4" by 1" or so.
