Default Any tilesetters on here from or near Omaha,NE?

I have been doing my own tilesetting on remodels, but would rather find someone else to do it so I can concentrate on other things. I've been doing a few remodels a year (haven't exactly been marketing for them), but I plan on pushing harder into remodeling this year and would like to limit my on the job work to carpentry and management. I also need someone I can refer to my clients who just need a floor done. Email me and we can arrange to meet.

    Shawn,
I guess you're not interested in keeping tilework for yourself, and giving the carpentry/management work to somebody else. A good installer may be hard to find. I did some work at a large mall in Omaha and found a very hostile attitude. One of the GC's men "accidently" dropped his hammer on my glasses and exclaimed "tile setters are always in the way". Tough market, there.

    Good luck in your search!

Thanks Michael. I will most likely continue doing the tilework myself and it's probably better that way. As far as giving the carpentry/management work away, it won't happen because that's what I do. Since I'm a carpenter, I don't set tile a lot, but I am more knowlegeable (thanks to you and the others on this forum) and do better quality work than most around here that do it everyday. Also, I've run into too many "tile contractors" that either don't know what the TCNA is or think it's a load of crap. I'm experienced enough in tilework that I've worked, on occasion, as a subcontract tilesetter, but I got tired of arguing about how to do things right with contractors who don't know, don't care, or both.
