Fypon alternatives
Does anybody have any recommendations for Fypon alternatives?
I know about Azek, and the company appears to have a wide range of exterior trim pieces similar to Fypon's product offering. I was wondering if there are any other exterior trim companies similar to Fypon or Azek with the extensive product list of flat trim, crossheads, vent louvers, circle top trim, etc.
TIA for your responses.

Re: Fypon alternatives
There is another trim system called Versatex. They offer a wide range of trim with smooth and embossed finishing, along with a brand called stealth. The stealth products are made to cut time down for people in the industry.
You should go to there site versatex.com and check them out.

Why might I ask? What is wrong with fypon or azek besides the price? Or are you looking for a profile you can't find.

Not that I have tried it yet, but we may be using it on a project next year and that product would be "Spectis". The catalog is very extensive.

Re: Fypon alternatives
We've used Focal Point and Outwater, but not enough to form an opinion as to whether they're better than Fypon.
Azek is a whole different animal, it's just like working wood trim, but it doesn't rot. Fypon to me is funky foam stuff that's super challenging to work with.
Depending on what you're looking for, there's some trim material made from recycled plastic that might be worth looking into. AERT used to make some, should be inexepensive, not spectacular looking, but ecologically sound and hopefully durable.Doug
