Looking for an Electrician in Philly
Hello all, hope you don't mind me sneaking over here from the finish carpentry forum. I'm a GC and I'm in need of an electrician for an addition job in Philly. My regular guys won't touch it because they want nothing to do with Philly. Can't say I blame them all that much, but it has me in a bind. If I can find someone here, I'd be more willing to let you bid my other work outside of the city too from here on out.
If interested, either PM me or e-mail me at LouMiller3824@Comcast.net
Sorry if this is considered out of line here. This is my first visit to this forum...

I know where you can find one, but he comes with a big guy wearing a cowboy hat on his back. If that's acceptable, PM me. :)

In Philly, a cowboy hat is fine. Just as long as it ain't a Dallas Cowboys hat... :)

Re: Looking for an Electrician in Philly
Uh, I just found out that there has been a little bit of a feud between Generals and Electricians going on in the forums. I just wanted to make sure that everyone here knew my post was serious and not in anyway related to the other stuff going on.
I basically only post in and read Finish Carpentry and Tools and Equipment. So, I don't know anything about what has happened, is happening, or will be happening on the other forums. I'm just looking for someone who might be interested in having me sub some electrical work to them. Nothing more.
Hopefully my post was taken as such and not thought of as another round of whatever shots you guys have been firing back and forth.

Re: Looking for an Electrician in Philly
Good! He's probably the only guy I'd recommend over that way. Very nice guy, even though he describes himself as a grump. It's nice to have subs that you just show them what you need done, and don't have to babysit them, as you know that everything will be handled and done right.

At the same time I assumed Philly was too far for you Marc. Was I correct?

Re: Looking for an Electrician in Philly
Yes, I'm smack in the middle of the state. I'm not even licensed anywhere near there. I try not to go more than 15 minutes or so from the shop. PA's another one of those weird states where you need another license every boro, town or city you cross into. It's a big headache, and a big expense.

Re: Looking for an Electrician in Philly
Thanks guys,
I'll give Wilber a call in the AM.
BTW, that article about the inspectors in Philly. That's nothing. I've seen things much much worse than what they described in that article. I've handed out several $100 cups of coffee (cup of coffee with a hundred wrapped around it and a napkin concealing the hundred)... :(
