Question for Maryland Builders
My good buddy lives in Howard County, MD. He wants to add windows in his basement. The basement is constructed of concrete block. We know we will need the rqr'd permits and most likely engineering review and approval. The question: How long will this process take in Howard county? Does anybody have a contact for the engineering review?
I am planning on driving from Chicago with my tools to help him do this job and a bunch of other things and we are trying to make a schedule.
Any help would be appreciated.Chuck Kiser

Re: Question for Maryland Builders
Hey Chuck,
I only do work in Montgomery County, MD, but another forum regular (Tom aka TSJHD1) lives and works near Annapolis. It's not close, but he might know someone in the Howard County area.

Re: Question for Maryland Builders
Sorry, can't help with a Howard Co. contact. Sounds like you need a good masonry contractor. The only builder I can think of in the area (Mont. Co.) who may have a good mason they can refer you to is Natelli Homes.
Thanks for the mention Rob.

Re: Question for Maryland Builders
Thanks Tom,
I will check with them to see if they can help out. Do you happen to know about how long the permit process may take for a job like this?Chuck Kiser
