Re: Circ. Saw Blade for Radius Cutting
I use a 24 tooth dewalt framing blade. Depending on the thickness of the wood and the tightness of the radius, sometimes I make one cut at half depth then come from the opposite direction at full depth. Try not to let the blade hang more than a 16th below the board. A cut board comes in handy, too.
Over time, cutting radii will warp the insides of the saw and the blade will wobble, so I'd recommend using an older saw.

Re: Circ. Saw Blade for Radius Cutting
I have never seen these blades in Australia.
We have a job this week end to cut some long flowing curves plan was to use router but a saw would speed this up. Can a standard 24t blade be used. would a festool saw work better than a standard saw.

Tim, I ordered the blade, but they will not work on my worm drives. Which saw are you using. They recommended Makita or Milwaukee.

Re: Circ. Saw Blade for Radius Cutting
This is a bit of a problem. They sell two blades, one for left side and one for right side. They gave me a right side and we tried to get it on the Ridgid, but it won't fit without really forcing it.
I need to take pics to send them. I'm supposed to see which saws it fits on and it seems like the saws with the "anti-snag" guards it doesn't fit as well.
I bought one blade awhile ago and put it on the Skil Mag77 and it seemed to work ok, then I found out it was supposed to be for blade right saws. http://pic40.picturetrail.com/VOL293.../222524226.jpg
So this weekend I'll try and see which saws it fits/doesn't fit and take some pictures. I've been super busy in April so I'm behind on a lot of stuff and need to catch up. Got a busy summer ahead (seeing John Mayer live, John Butler Trio and Dave Matthews band and cannot wait) in between frames, siding and I get to do some trim hopefully :-)
I'll try to get that all done and posted.

Re: Circ. Saw Blade for Radius Cutting
I'm not a big fan of the arcus blades.
I like a regular one. I just remembered getting one of those "progressive" blades from tenryu that had a combination of different teeth, like 1/4 40 tooth blade 1/4 24 tooth blade 1/4 16 tooth and I forget what else.... anyway, that is a good radius cutting blade.
I believe porter cable has a "lazer" blade like that, it's worth a try.
If anyone wants a slightly used blade right arcus, I'll pass it along. It's sitting in my truck collecting dust. You can try it out without buying one.

Re: Circ. Saw Blade for Radius Cutting
We ended up using 12 tooth festool blade on ts55. to do a series of free flowing curves in 1 in hardwood flooring on 1 in ply.
will post pics

Re: Circ. Saw Blade for Radius Cutting
Mark Currie in his framing book recommends just a standard blade for radius cuts that are not too tight.
