The Bad Dog Tools drill bit set. Pricey but with free sharpening & free replacement for life it had better be the last set I buy.
Took a few swings with the titanium hammers, almost pulled the trigger on one but that's more of a xmas present to myself than something I need today.

I have the tbII titanium hammer and hands down the best hammer ever. I am getting the mini 14 since I found out at JLC live that the heads are interchangable. You will not regret it best money I ever spent.

Norm I went for the bad dog bits too a year ago and they were a major disappointment. They just wouldn't cut for me. Let me know if they work out for you.

Well that's a drag. I rarely go for the infomercial type booths without having at least heard of the company before. I've never heard of these guys but the demo looked mighty impressive. I've had a bunch of funky jobs lately; stainless backsplashes & range hoods, granite & bluestone work, some tile...been snapping bits left & right. Hoping these work, I'll let you know.

The only time ive ever fallen for any infomercial type booth was at a WWing show. I have yet to regret my Kreg Pocket Hole Jig, well maybe once when i heard they came out with the newer model....

Apparently Bad Dog is a knockoff of a more quality-minded German firm that developed the technology... I think they just hire real energetic demonstrators.

Re: new toys at jlc
I got the Bosch Pony router kit and the bag for my Stabila jamber set. I was pretty good considering there were so many things I wanted to get. Then again, my wife was with me. She won't let me go to these things alone. She thinks, and she's right, that I'll spend the mortgage money!
I was close to pulling the trigger on the Hitachi finish gun, but I am still trying to make up my mind b/t that and a Dewalt cordless. I still have a Paslode straight cordless, but I'm not crazy about it. Any thoughts - Dewalt or Hitachi. I almost bought the Senco micro pinner after watching Gary use it or the sweet little Bosch angle cordless screwdriver, which isn't available for sale yet.
Anyone see Gary letting people use his Pony router to round the edges of the push sticks Windsor One was giving out. I was nervous that some boob might get up there and rout his hand off, but thankfully only the experienced took him up on it.
How are those Malco hand shears? I have an FC job coming up. I looked for them, but I think they were out when I wandered by.

Re: new toys at jlc
I have used them on hadi backer with good results but just for detail cuts{I'm sure thats all they are for]they tend to take a little bite from the back so keep the sides in proper place when cutting with them.
