I know a lot of guys like the Colt, I hate it. I think the way the depth adjustment works is a terrible design flaw. My friend Mick has a fix that he says works well, which I am going to try.

An idea area is a great plan, Gary. I do have a couple pictures of crown and base wrapping a bullnose corner because it's something hard for lay people to visualize from a spoken description.

Mine is still cutting well. I try to use my DW 716 when I can, but only because the Milwaukee is such a damn pig to carry. I've had no issues, though, other than tuning it up about a year ago.

I've been having pretty good luck with Oshlun blades. I also have a bunch of Festools and a couple Tenryu, which I got to pre-test when they were released. Hard to beat the Oshluns for the $.
