Re: tell me about your electricain

Ditto what Tom says. And as for size, you can put quite a bit of wire in 1/2" conduit so heck with future work. PVC is fine.

I always wonder how much time craftsmen put into really learning...

    Multiple wires under one screw

In a main panel or sub-panel is it permissible to have 2 wires under one screw on the neutral or ground buss?

    Re: Makita LS0714 7 1/2" miter saw

I see it's still in the catalog: http://www.makitatools.com/en-us/Modules/Tools/ToolDetails.aspx?Name=LS0714

    Still love my cordless one.
  4. Re: Using 2" concrete as a mudset for ceramic tile?

IF your substrate is adequate for tile then you can use Ditra, Hardiboard, or any of a dozen different products. No need for a mud bed.

Re: Old Growth VG 2x6 Redwod Decking

You'll save a lot of money by finding a small logger up around Shaver or Huntington, have them rough mill it and plane it yourself. A bit of work but you'll keep the $ in your pocket.

    Re: Milgard Ultra Fiberglass Windows

Bronze colored anodized aluminum windows. They range from dark brown to black. If I need a similar appearance, with or without grids, I use the Ultra.

    Re: Milgard Ultra Fiberglass Windows

Milgard Ultra is my go-to window if the existing windows are bronze aluminum and I'm trying to meet energy requirements. Good window.

Re: Rollair Compressor - The Bull

I've been using their single tank, quiet model for a couple of years now. Runs well, seems well made. FC1250LS3.

My Corian installer dry sands and I don't think he goes that fine. Sounds like you're done.

Re: Why A Faucet Hole Costs $150.00

Don't apologize. Give them your price, get a yes or no, and leave. Let others compete on price. BTW, my price for that job would probably be $375 for all the reasons you listed.

Re: Windows for a lake home

Have you talked to some local experienced contractors? Local sources might be better.

That's good practice and if the combined amperage of the D/W and the G/D exceed the circuit rating, they have to be separate circuits.

Am I missing something? Here (CA) the fire fighters trip the main breaker at the meter outside. They'd never go looking for an interior sub-panel.
