Re: bostitch strap shot nailer and nails

    Beezo --

Do you have a palm nailer? I use mine for all my Simpson hardware... Pick your nails (in bulk) and go.

The forms get staked into the footing trench. Vertical stakes to hold the forms up, kickers and spreaders to keep them spaced and plumb(ish).

Here are a couple of more photos. ...

Re: Forming foundations ...how to information

    I did this last summer. 40' x 16'-6" addition. Footing is 15" x 8". Stemwall is 6" wide by 30some inches tall.

It was my first foundation. I made my forms out of 2x4 and 1/2" ply. Probably...

    Re: winter gloves

We've had a pretty cold spell here, too. My fingers are also the first to go. All "thermal" or otherwise cold-weather-rated gloves suck, IMO. These things go a long way to helping me out.

Re: A few more have left the building

Cool pad. I had a feeling you might have something to say about Mr. Brubeck, Dick. And I'm not really surprised that it doesn't have anything to do with his music...

91 year old jazz great Dave Brubeck died in Connecticut today. He would have been 92 tomorrow.

    Re: Trim moisture problem

I doubt that the OP will be back for this. So, I'm gonna jack his thread if you all will humor me?

If you're not using PVC exterior trim, what are you guys using these days? Barge boards,...

    Re: Fake tools on craigslist...

Possibly the only thing you could do is reply to all of his posts with a warning to all comers. I see people do that on CL occasionally. A warning of sorts.

    Pretty sweet stuff, though!

Re: Where's the Landslide of Epic Proportions?

BTW, did the LoEP go in the President's favor? I have a feeling that if the score was 332-206 in Romney's favor, we'd be having all kinds of Landslide calls...

    So?

Re: Where's the Landslide of Epic Proportions?

I don't think there's much gloating going on here. Just looking for that LoEP. I'll be interested to hear what happened to it. Oh, maybe he meant for Obama. If Florida goes blue: 332 - 203.
