The forms get staked into the footing trench. Vertical stakes to hold the forms up, kickers and spreaders to keep them spaced and plumb(ish).

I did this last summer. 40' x 16'-6" addition. Footing is 15" x 8". Stemwall is 6" wide by 30some inches tall.
It was my first foundation. I made my forms out of 2x4 and 1/2" ply. Probably...
We've had a pretty cold spell here, too. My fingers are also the first to go. All "thermal" or otherwise cold-weather-rated gloves suck, IMO. These things go a long way to helping me out.
Cool pad. I had a feeling you might have something to say about Mr. Brubeck, Dick. And I'm not really surprised that it doesn't have anything to do with his music...
91 year old jazz great Dave Brubeck died in Connecticut today. He would have been 92 tomorrow.
This is a pretty cookin' live version. A bit faster...

Oh crap that's funny.
I doubt that the OP will be back for this. So, I'm gonna jack his thread if you all will humor me?

It's 2 ach50.

It's a great read regarding the PGH concept. Dan (DancingDan)Kolbert posts here...
Hey Brent --
Sorry, no answer for you, but here's a question. I'm interested to know what your experience with the Lifebreath was/is. Why aren't you interested in using it on your current...

I don't think there's much gloating going on here. Just looking for that LoEP. I'll be interested to hear what happened to it. Oh, maybe he meant for Obama. If Florida goes blue: 332 - 203.

Maybe it'll all stay in the bullsh*t, er, bullish thread.

What an amazing thread. I love these kind of post-as-you-go threads. Very informative. Thanks, all.
You mean Tony Scott, Phil? Or is there a famous John Scott?
