I've been using vans for 15 years now in my small remodeling business and I wouldn't consider anything else. I always have a core set of tools handy and I don't have to worry about rain or security....

I once "aged" a doug fir door using Minwax wood conditioner, then Minwax natural, then Minwax cherry applied with a rag to control the amount of color. I practiced first to develop the formula.
