  • Stamford CT fire and contractor's insurance

Few details at the moment that I've seen, but it appears the contractor's insurance company in this case is refusing to pay claims, alleging that the contractor mis-represented the scope of his business. It will be interesting to see how this plays out.

Whatever ya' do, give your insurance company accurate numbers when you buy your policy, and when it's audited.

More importantly, connect the effing smoke/fire detectors... and use the ash shovel to beat until submission those who would keep fresh fireplace remnants indoors in what must have been a non suitable container - even if it's yourself.

Always good to see my Insurance Co behaving like a...well, insurance company. I think I'll re-read my Utica Policy and see how they are going to screw me.

        I'm confused.

If he took the ashes out as her boyfriend, why would his contractors insurance company be involved?

Is he being sued because the smoke detectors were not reinstalled?

An insurance company collects premiums and then refuses to pay claims and this qualifies as news?

You might have to put in a little more effort to get anything out of this...
