  • New forum format

I'm guessing I'm not the only one seeing the new vBulletin format. Just tried to link some images from photobucket as a test (just goofy stuff, lol), but it only posted the link, not the image. Tried the upload feature, and got 1 out of 4 images uploaded, but didn't spend a lot of time with it yet, so it's probably user error.

My first thought seeing the new format, was that it would be easier for posters to put multiple images within their posts (without us readers having to "click" on each one to see).

As I'm sure this is a testing period throughout the weekend, I'll be interested to see how this format can improve on some of the restraints that have been in place, at least when it comes to posting images.

Certainly looks cleaner. Also, no longer have to find the hidden button to get to the latest post on a thread.

Is there a "User CP" button I'm not seeing?

Not thrilled at all. Much poorer readability in Chrome.

            Where's the "new messages" button?

Wow, what a shocker. I feel like I am looking at my wife coming through the front door with her hair cut short and no advance notice. Holy crap, you look lovely!!!

Lol's. Yeah, it was a bit of a shocker, no? I'm just glad I wasn't the only one feeling that way...misery loves company and all.

                    Re: New forum format

I have only posted on a dozen boards or so over the years, but I always liked the front page of JLC the best of all of them because it was all organized in two columns in a way I could take it in quick.
Not liking the new look because that feature is gone.

Seems to be a black triangle on the lower left.

Seems we're now missing the "view first unread" button which was convenient at times.

Would be nice if the signature space were tightened and tidied up a bit - maybe a double or bold line, and clip some some of the wasted space below.

Yeah, this layout is absolutely terrible, sorry to the person who created it but it's difficult to separate things visually to get to what you want.

Having things blocked out was much cleaner...think Linux and not Windoze.

I've always like the JLC format as well. I'm hoping the new format will allow multiple pics of work to be included in each post.

I've often wondered why a poster can only include two images in a post (that have to be "clicked" on to view). There is such a great volume of work pics that are posted here, that have always seemed a bit monotonous to view... I'm hoping the new format will eventually remedy the pita.
