  • Hanley Wood on Colorado Homebuilders

"Nearly 80 percent of the almost 3,000 homebuilders that were operating in Colorado in 2006 have failed, left the state or abandoned new-home construction."

But that's all good for you, no?

    I liked this:
"People made lots of money fast," said Linda Harmon, who in 1998 started Amber Homes with her then-husband, Jim.

Their family went from middle-class to pulling down $6 million in Amber's first year. Too many builders got accustomed to the high lifestyle, which made them unwilling or unable to see what was coming, Harmon said.

"I don't think anybody realized how bad it was going to get," said Harmon, whose company, career and marriage were casualties of the downturn.
    Or as Lowell lamented...

Sure, when prospective clients didn't get kitchen, bath, and basement finish quotes from homebuilders masquerading as remodelers bidding wholesale numbers.

Timing is important, just ask Larry E. Tucker, Appellant.

Looks like my free day just got chumped by the Braves v Rockettes on the fifth followed by dinner for those still awake and standing.

Remember is but a small step from hiring qualified subs on a remod to going new... and with the outsurge from CA happening any day now, well, best to have the shingle out sooner rather than later. Timing.

                  Gotcha.

I can purchase my own ticket through free markets, take the very socialistic but convenient none the less light rail to Union Station, then we can barter beers in the left field pavilion as my Rockies wallop the not so Braves. 1:10 PM, baby.

Never been to CF before; they serve good beer by any chance? Only time I seen the Rockettes was mid 90ish at Elway's house. FYI this is bidness; a tie may be required. Of the two owners [clients] one is a moderate, to the right of you - in real life, not Johnsonian Space - the other to the right of him. Seats somewhere on second level between the mound and 3rd. I'm only going to not be rude otherwise baseb doesn't get interesting until about Nov. Famliy stuff is day before at the museum - fashion and pin collection?

Good luck with that. Good beer? Blue Moon, Corona Extra, Guinness, Heineken, George Killian’s Irish Red Lager, Samuel Adams Boston Lager, Fat Tire. And the usual. First several are on me. You have an impression to make, bidnessman.

In the right frame of mind hanging from meat hooks by your pectorals in a refrigerated semi trailer traveling backwards at over 150 mph...it makes perfect sense.
