  • cabinet door "open" limiters?? where can i find em?

i need some of those things that screw to the frame and door of a kitchen cabinet, and limit it to how much it can open.
i tried google, but couldnt get specific.
    what do you call them?
anyone have a link to who sells them?

Do you mean something similar to a lid support? What type of hinges do the cabinets currently have?

Most full overlay hidden hinges only allow 105 degrees of travel. How much less do you want the doors to open, and why?

Maybe the restriction clips on page 32?

Change the hinges to the proper swing angle?

I was looking for them also and had no luck.
I did make some out of crimp on electrical terminal ends and 1/16" ( or 16 ga I think) s/s cable.
I tried ball chain with clip on eyes but they break too easily.
1/2" pan head #4 screws to mount them.

You need to know what brand of hinge you have. The hinge is called a concealed hinge. The item you want is called a restriction clip. Not sure what brand has such restriction on opening as mentioned above, normally there is much more. I use Blum hinges. They go from 105 to 175 and everything between. Most likely you are dealing with a 110 degree hinge. Rockler may be able to order them. But you will need to know what brand and opening degree you are dealing with. Maybe these correct terms will help you search for it. Or post what you need to know an I will tell you what you need and where to get them.

Blum has some pretty restrictive hinges... 95 and 100 degrees. You could switch out the existing hinges.

If you need to limit to less than 90 degrees, they also make a hinge limiter.

It restricts hinge movement to 86 degrees.

i vaguely recall a cabinet job i did many years ago where we had to use "zero protrusion" hinges to allow for slide out clearance. these hinges have a 160+ degree swing so we use some type of swing limiter to keep the swing at 110 deg. im not sure what brand of hinge we used or what the piece was called but they do exist. sorry i cant be of any more detailed help but what you are looking for is possible. you might try one of the cabinet hardware sites like
