  • Australian Timber Oil on Treated Pine

I have been asked to stain a pressure treated pine deck with Cabot's Australian Timber Oil.

My client was told (by some hardware store "expert") that it has about 4 year's life in our climate and works well on treated pine.

The decking boards have been raw for about three years, they're in great shape and I would imagine that if they came with any factory applied water repellents (sp?), those have long worn off.

Has anyone had a disaster with this product? I did see one guy saying that the Timber Oil failed terribly on Ipe, but I, of course, expect different results on treated pine.

    Thanks
    jp
