Hey guys,I usually post on finish carpentry but here is a question for you guys.I am in the process fo a kitchen remodel and my client decides she wants a stucco finish on one wall. The wall is taped and mudded, should I prime the wall first before I skip trowel,I plan on using 45 or 90 hot mud?

    Re: stucco finish

Why do you want to use 45 or 90 even? That stuff is for patching or taping. Just how much mud do you think you can get on the wall in 90 minutes?

I'll bet 90% of that stuff is bought by carpenters and painters.

Prime, then just use general purpose ready-mix.
