  • Drywall over concrete

Does anyone have any experience applying drywall directly onto a concrete basement wall? I've run into a situation where a concrete wall needs to be covered with drywall but because of space restrictions the wall can't be furred-out. The USG construction handbook talks a little bit about it, but I was wondering if you could use a subfloor or drywall adhesive to attach the drywall without fastners? Also, would you use green board? Thanks in advance.
